11+ mock exams, built around each school’s own test

Each mock follows its own school's test, because the papers, question style, timing and scoring all differ. Schools that sit the same test are grouped together.

The 11+ isn't one exam

Each grammar school, or group of schools, sets its own entrance test. They differ in what they test (Maths and English, or verbal and non-verbal reasoning), how many papers there are, how long each one runs, and how the result is used. A mock only helps if it matches the test your child will actually sit, so each of ours is styled on one test's published format. Where a school doesn't publish question counts or timings, our mock's are an estimate, and its page says so.

Camden banding assessment

Our mock
Verbal Reasoning (24 questions, 20 minutes), Non-Verbal Reasoning (18 questions, 18 minutes), Quantitative Reasoning (24 questions, 25 minutes) and Spatial Reasoning (18 questions, 18 minutes)
Results
A banding test, not pass or fail. Children are placed in ability bands, and the thresholds are set from that year’s applicants. Ours shows the score on each paper and a breakdown by question type, never a band.

Kent Test

Our mock
English (25 questions, 25 minutes), Mathematics (25 questions, 25 minutes), Verbal Reasoning (32 questions, 20 minutes), Spatial Reasoning (18 questions, 10 minutes in 2 timed sections) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (30 questions, 15 minutes in 3 timed sections)

Tiffin Boys' Stage 1 test

Our mock
Mathematics (48 questions, 48 minutes) and English (48 questions, 48 minutes), plus written Stage 2 practice
Results
Real scores are standardised: adjusted for age and for everyone who sat the test that year. No mock can give that exact number, so ours gives a readiness guide and a breakdown by topic.

Tiffin Girls' Stage 1 test

Our mock
Mathematics (24 questions, 24 minutes) and English (24 questions, 24 minutes), plus written Stage 2 practice
Results
Compared with the score the school’s own guidance suggests aiming for on each paper.

What every mock includes

  • Timed papers styled on the test's own format, which can't be paused once they start, just like the real thing.
  • Every answer recorded with how long it took and whether it was changed, so a rushed mistake, a stuck question and a topic that isn't learned yet stop looking the same.
  • Weakest topics ranked, with how much evidence each is based on, instead of a bare score.
  • Short follow-up drills on the topics that need the work.
  • Stage 2 practice for schools with a written second stage.

Try one question first

The free 3-minute Trap Challenge shows how a real 11+ question is built to catch a hurried answer, and which habit gets past it. The Trap Pack has five more, with full working and a one-page crib sheet.

What we don't cover yet

CEM-format papers, the ISEB Common Pre-Test and the London Consortium assessment aren't covered yet, and we'd rather say so than label a paper as something it isn't. If your child's school isn't listed, tell us which one: it helps us decide what to build next.

Common questions

Do I need an account?
You can browse every mock’s page without one. Sitting a mock needs a free parent account, so the results are saved privately to your family.
Can a mock tell me whether my child will pass?
No, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Real pass marks and bands change every year and depend on everyone who sat the test. A mock is for pacing, for getting used to the format, and for finding the topics that need work.
Are these the real papers?
No. They’re unofficial practice papers styled on each test’s published format. We aren’t affiliated with any school, council or exam board.
Who can see the results?
Only your family: your parent account, and your child’s own sign-in if you set one up. No leaderboards, and no comparing your child with anyone else’s.
