SET Stage 1 Mock: Wallington County Grammar School

A practice sitting styled on the shared Sutton Selective Eligibility Test (SET): two timed, multiple-choice papers in Mathematics and English, drawn from Key Stage 2 content. There is no verbal or non-verbal reasoning paper in the SET. No pausing once a paper begins, just like the real thing.

Candidate Details

We ask for birth month and year (not a full date of birth) because the real test is age-standardised, so results are only meaningful when compared with children of the same age in months.

  1. 01Paper 1 (Mathematics): 48 questions, 48 minutes, multiple choice.
  2. 02Paper 2 (English): 48 questions, 48 minutes, including a reading passage.
  3. 03Each paper is timed strictly and cannot be paused once started.
  4. 04Full marking and topic-by-topic feedback follows once every paper is complete.

You'll be asked to sign in first. That's what keeps your child's results private and available on your other devices.

Unofficial practice resource inspired by publicly available information about the Sutton Selective Eligibility Test (SET), the shared Stage 1 test used by Wallington County Grammar School and the other Sutton consortium grammar schools (two multiple-choice papers, Maths and English, no verbal or non-verbal reasoning). Not affiliated with or endorsed by Wallington County Grammar School or the consortium. The real SET is age-standardised and the pass mark is set by the schools after marking, so a raw percentage here is for tracking progress, not predicting a result.
